Barrie - Managing Director       Barrie is one of the original partners in Distinctive Cars York. His passion for cars, especially Japanese ones is what drove DCY to leave the UK performance cars behind and move onto the Japanese market. Today Barrie concentrates on choosing the cars to import from Japan. He also undertakes 90% of all the cars we order through our 'order service'

    

Jamie (George) - Managing Director       George is the other one of the original partners of Distinctive Cars York. His passion and his enthusiasm for cars is what pushed Barrie and George together in the first place. George is found in the office nowadays, dealing with emails invoices and all web related issues, he has also negotiated very good prices on parts and body styling and can pass these prices to the customers.

     

Mick (Stig) - Mechanic & driver       Mick plays an important role in Distinctive Cars York as he inspects and services every car before it goes out of the doors. Mick also built and maintains all the DCY demo cars; he also drove the drag car in 2005/2006 and drove in the pro class of Time Attack in 2007. Mick has an excellent history in racing, whether it's in the seat or in development as the car builder.

    

Martin - A very camera shy Painter / bodywork specialist       Martin has now left Distinctive cars York and set up his own body shop, the quality of work hasn't changed since he left DCY he is still painting cars with better than factory finishes. Martin has fitted a wide range of body kits and accessories so is no stranger to the modified car scene. Every vehicle DCY fit body kits to or repair go straight to Martin.

   

James - 2drift - Drift Driver       James is The new driver for DCY Drift R32, 2008. James has been drifting since 2004 and in 2007 finished 4th Overall Eurodrift Championship Pro class & 3rd Pro British Open Championship. James's new ideas, happy & friendly personality are very welcome. With a top eight finish at Round 1 EDC, his driving isn't too bad either :)

   

William - (Swanny) - Apprentice       Swanny started work early 2006 as a pre-sales detailer (basically he prep's the cars before they are collected by the customer). Very eager to learn, Swanny then started carrying out other roles such as SVA preparations and aiding Mick on areas of vehicle service. Swanny is now working part time while studying Automotive Technology at Sheffield University as well as been the a pit crew member for DCY in 2007.

       

Andrew (Curly) - DCY events organiser       What can we say about Curly...... Once nominated for the "biggest Pisshead" award in FHM, he never stops to amaze us. Curly and fireworks don't mix either, that ones a long story but he was unable to sit down for 4 weeks! Curly isn't really part of DCY he just keeps us entertained when we travel away to events & Shows.

     

Danny - DCY Dosser       Since Curlys commitments at home (he's got a bird) DCY have been looking for a replacement entertainer. Danny has been a familiar face with DCY at shows and events and his calm, chilled manor is welcomed in the pts, hIs help is much appreciated too!
