Some countries are landlocked and so are inaccessible by deep sea ocean vessels. Import and export goods must be transshipped in other countries by means of truck/rail and/or inland water way (river, canal or lake) transports. DCY are able organise all transportation but additional costs may occur when exporting to certain country’s.







European Drift Chyampionship  The Final, North Weald .


The final venue for the EDC took place at North Weald, Essex, on an air field. Initially we thought it was a come down to hold the final on an airfield when all the other rounds have been on the UK finest race circuits but how wrong could be. The track which consisted of a very fast right hand corner, leading onto a a tight roundabout, looping back to the first corner but this time a long left hand bend. The drivers soon got to grips layout and some very consistent and high level drifts well achieved making for extremely good viewing.



Since Sweeps 2nd place victory at Knockhill we had the DCY Skyline into the workshop for a much needed new clutch. For the last 2 years we have been using uprated single plate clutch's. Not this time though, we fitted a triple plate Os Giken clutch, we opted for the Os Giken as it has a much lighter pedal feel to many of the others.

After his success in the wet at Knockhill Sweeps had been preparing all week for the final by doing a rain dance first thing on a morning and last thing at night. The day started nice and dry with the abrasive surface destroying tyres after only 2 runs. Then the heavens opened and Sweeps got what he had prayed for, plenty of rain.

Sweeps had just got the track nailed with some near on perfect runs in the dry, now it was wet "The Rain Man" had to live up to his name.  Live up to his name he did, pulling off every run with perfect runs, placing the rear wheel as far to the outside of the track as possible, this is one thing the judges wanted to see. So it was no surprise when he qualified for the top 16 and placed 3rd.

Sunday morning saw the gates open to the public at 9am, although it was raining the show did seem to have plenty of spectators especially over at the drift circuit. The first session for the drifters saw a free practice of about 4 runs. The track was soaking and there was still plenty of rain in the air and drivers were struggling to get traction. Maybe Sweeps had over done the rain dance's throughout the week.

In practice sessions Sweeps run some very good and consistent run putting him in a good mood ready for the EDC final.

The final saw Sweeps up against the Ksport Skyline of Tim Marshall. As per normal the drivers get 3 runs, one practice the the 2 judged runs with either driver starting of leading the run. In the first practice Sweeps completed with a very nice run with Tim right behind him, both drivers were looking matched out on track.

Sweeps first run was a bit of upset for the team and driver, Sweeps carried too much speed into the first corner and consequently couldn't hold the drift and went onto the grass, handing full points to Tim, so unless Tim did the same it was over for Sweeps.

The final run saw Tim put in another consistent run although Sweeps ran with more angle and pace his earlier slip onto the grass cost him handing the victory over to tim.

Sweeps wasn't knocked by the result and continued to spectate with high spirits.
